As both a producing theatre company and a training ground for emerging artists, The Standard is committed to creating high-caliber, artist-driven productions while fostering disciplined craft, bold storytelling, and meaningful collaboration.

What we teach
At The Standard, we train artists to approach their craft with discipline, curiosity, and courage.
Our programs are designed to give students the technical, physical, and creative tools of the actor - developing voice, movement, storytelling, collaboration, and the deep analytical skills needed to bring characters and stories fully to life.
Through productions, classes, conservatory-style training, and youth programs, our approach is rooted in learning by doing. Students rehearse, experiment, perform, and refine their work in a supportive but rigorious environment where growth comes through practice and discovery.
We believe that strong training builds more than performers. It builds confidence, empathy, resilience, and creative leadership. Wheather a student hopes to pursue theater professionally or simply develop their voice as a storyteller and collaborator, the work we do is designed to challenge them to reach beyond their comfort zones.
